July Checkin
Hello fans friends lovers subs and pervs!
I wanted to do a good old fashioned check in blog for you!
I hope everyone had a safe holiday weekend. There doesn’t feel like a whole lot of independence in this country or reason to celebrate so we didn’t really celebrate America, we just celebrated having a day off from work and eating!
Brook and I got a gorgeous grill and smoker for a wedding gift. It came needing to be put together, ina box that looked like it had been through hell, missing parts. It’s been sort of a nightmare sitting on our front porch taking up space for months, but we finally got all the parts we needed and Brook built the grill for us!
We got to break it in for 4th of July!
My favorite Aunt who has lived far away for My whole life, moved BACK to Mass so we had her over, as well as Sunny Cheex and grilled and chilled.
I feel like a fool but I didn’t get really any good photos of the epic spread I laid out. But here was the menu:
BBQ chicken drumsticks, cheeseburgers, cheddar brats, grilled zucchini, sweet peppers and small onions, grilled corn and crab stuffed mushrooms on the grill.
I also foraged some wild mushrooms, and smoked them dry on the grill and am going to use them to make stock this week…
I also had full platter of chips, crackers, cheeses, fresh mozzarella and tomatoes with a balsamic reduction, bruschetta tomatoes, cucumber salad, pesto pasta salad, kalamata olive spread, crab salad, green salad, and cucumber lemon water. Oh! And two kinds of cupcakes for dessert!
It was alot! A good time was had by all and we all ate alot and I packed up food to go for everyone.
The day BEFORE the 4th, I had a photoshoot scheduled with Kitten Dabstar. A concept we’ve been wanting to do since the beginning of summer and it finally worked out! I got to shoot her in a gorgeous field of ferns in the woods!

I also shot a short film with Kitten, with video by Gim Von Gamete. I had Kitten tied to a tree outside and flogged her with a leather whip and some roses while she purred. I think it’s really quite beautiful. Working on it now, but not exactly sure when I’m going to release that.
here’s a hint:
I’ve been just full force creating creating creating. Doing photoshoots as a model, as a photographer. Doing mini shoots, planning specials, painting, and spending alot of quality time with My wife and My dogs outside. I’ve been enjoying Berkshire County summer to the max. Hiking, swimming,fishin,grillin, sunbathing, getting naked in the forest, taking drives with the windows down and blasting music. Eating at roadside places outside. I only wish I had a boat! (Goals for next year, just a rowboat!)
So: I have been back and forth on the issue of getting a studio space again. I NEED need one like, yesterday. For so many reasons.
I have been actually taking steps and looking at spaces. I thought I found THE ONE, but now there’s another opportunity, so I’m going to take a look at a space that’s inside a building I have alot of history with! I have a strong feeling about it.
I feel that once I have space I am paying for the pressure is really on to create and SELL and BOOK, so, If you are reading this on this site, I really appreciate you having a membership. It makes it so I can actually afford to keep the lights on and having a dedicated creation and office space is a game changer!
For one: I find it necessary to have actual office hours. Being self employed in this industry most people talk about having to work 24/7. I do not believe this to be true, in fact I NEED to have boundaries about work hours, computer time and time spent working, so I find I am at My best when I have a regular work schedule.
Currently My office is in My home, and it is also the cam room.
Brook is streaming in the morning four days per week, 20 hours a week. So it’s 20 hours a week, during My prime awake hours, that I cannot access My office.
As a result I am always sort of fragmented. Killing time before I can get in there and get to work.
Sometimes I have really important work or deadlines or new models in Treasure Cams and shit is poppin off and I cannot possibly wait til noon just to stay work. I try bringing My laptop downstairs to work and it just isn’t good for Me. I have ADHD. I ahve alot of notes, and notebooks, and corkboards and white boards, and I really need to be sitting AT Y DESK ,focused without distractions if I want to get anything done.
In the morning twice a day Brook comes out of the office on break and so then I am stopped from My tasks. I’ve always got the dogs and cats to contend with and they are asking to go out, wanting to be held, or trying to get into the cam room.
Then Brook is done, and then I make lunch and eat, and THEN and only then do I get in My office. By 3 or 4 I am tired, but that’s not a full work day. And I also need to break by 5 to make dinner and handle all that shit. Then I try to go back to work for a while.
It aint workin folks! I am coworking too much, and not effectively.
I also love Brook very much and part of it is not wanting to take opposite days off so that we can actually spend enjoyable quality time together and do things.
But between 1-4 she’s in the office relaxing after work, and playing video games or interrupting Me to show Me memes and it is just not conducive to getting shit done.
That doesn’t touch on the physical storage issues, and not having enough space to store things like camera equipment, and backdrops and merch without it going into deep storage in the attic and being hard to access. I’d love it to just have My house be My house again.
When I am writing it out now, I can’t believe I have managed to get major shit done, like a full film, 2 self published books and 2 calendars plus build two websites all while working in these fragmented conditions. Just imagine what badass shit I will accomplish with dedicated space and hours! WOW
So, it’s a necessary upgrade. I want to be inside a new space by fall. I am claiming it!
